A Kenyan security guard by the name John Njau with twenty four years has died. This is in Qatar's Lusail stadium. He is said to have suffered a serious fall while on duty at the stadium. This is according to the supreme committee for delivery and legacy. Stadium medical teams immediately attended the scene and provided emergency treatment before he was transferred to Hamad's intensive care unit through ambulance. This is according to world cup organizers.
John Njau has stayed in the intensive care unit for three days before passing away. A statement from supreme council stated that they are regretting to announce that he has died. His family has been informed where they are sending their sincere condolences. Also condolences to friends and colleagues in this difficult time
The Qatar's tournament are investigating the circumstances leading to the fall as a matter of urgency and will provide further information pending the outcome of the investigation. They will also ensure that the family receive all outstanding dues and monies owned.
