City's Raheem Sterling is a transfer target for Chelsea"/>
Chelsea is searching for further firepower after Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter Milan on loan, and Thomas Tuchel has identified Raheem Sterling as one of his offensive targets. Sterling is entering the final year of his contract with Man City.
Any agreement between Chelsea and City would be contingent on Sterling agreeing to personal terms, and it is believed that in order to be in line with his standing as one of the Premier League's top attacking talents at the peak of his career, he would expect to receive more money than he does at City.
Sterling's relationship with Pep Guardiola and City is still very good, as was previously reported, and the Premier League winners are willing to let the 27-year-old depart, even to a rival, as long as there is an acceptable offer in the region of £50 million.
Sterling would provide Tuchel with a reliable threat, tactical versatility, and experience. He has directly contributed to a total of 165 goals in the league in 320 games for Liverpool and City.
