Chelsea: Fresh Talks for Kounde, Deal Confirmed- Star Player Leaves, Terry's Spot-on Prediction

Ike Ugbo

According to football guru Fabrizio Romano, Ike Ugbo will join Belgian side Genk on a permanent deal after Chelsea rejected Marseille’s bid for the striker. Ugbo had already held advanced negotiations with Genk and therefore it would be a waste of time and resources if Ugbo sat down with Marseille representatives and began negotiations over a potential transfer.

Ugbo’s medicals have been booked for Wednesday and he will sign the requisite paperwork on that same day. Ugbo’s agent reported that his client was very happy with the move and he is ready to take on the new challenge that awaits him in Belgian. Ugbo has also been touted to be the club’s talisman following the departure of Max Hitsperger who joined city rivals, Club Brugge.

Joules Kounde

Chelsea have held fresh talks in the transfer of Joules Kounde who has been heavily linked with a move to the London-based club. Reports have shown that Marina Granovskaia is pulling every string within her grasp to ensure that Kounde is signed in the next few days.

Kounde had already agreed on personal terms with Chelsea representatives so it’s only a matter of reaching an agreement with Sevilla over the principle fee. Sevilla have also been very open about the transfer to the extent of excluding the defender from all their matches during the pre-season and the new La Liga campaign. Sources say that Chelsea will reach a breakthrough in the negotiations in the next few days.

John Terry

Former Chelsea defender John Terry has turned out to be “a football prophet” after he miraculously managed to predict the results of the Arsenal game against Chelsea. Terry had predicted that Chelsea would win 2-0 on his Instagram account, a few hours before kick-off. Fans applauded Terry for his “newfound” gift and joked that he should always predict Chelsea to win because his tweets and Instagram posts seem to bear a good omen for his boyhood club.
