The whole world is in mourning mood this evening after the death of the famous Captain Tom Moore Who raised £33M to help the less fortunate during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Captain Moore was a former England Soldier who led several troops to war back in the days. Moore became popular after he opted to run a charity race which he was competing against himself at the age of 100 years.
He received lots of plaudits worldwide for his bold approach to the pandemic. The former soldier was admitted to the hospital yesterday where he reportedly tested positive for Covid-19. According to a statement released by the family, the war veteran has since passed away at the age of 100 years.
Piers Morgan was among the first people to send his condolences to the world here. "RIP Captain Sir Tom Moore, 100. A magnificent man. A national hero. In our darkest hour since WW2, he rallied Britain with his resilience, courage, and optimism. Let us all heed his mantra in our own lives: ‘Tomorrow will be a good day.’ Thank you, Tom." He wrote on Twitter.
