The Gunners' best chance of the game came on the 68th minute. Kieran Tierney picked out Emile Smith-Rowe wonderfully on the left flank. The England international went on an excellent solo run, taking the ball to the byline and found Alexandre Lacazette with a cut-back. The Frenchman had an open goal as Nick Pope came out to close the angle, but he failed to find the target and his shot dribbled miserably wide.

Liverpool took the lead thanks to a Virgil van Dijk header from a corner, before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doubled the visitor’s advantage. Jurgen Klopp’s side were forced to deal with plenty of pressure from the home side, but managed to find some respite when Diogo Jota bursted into the penalty area fabinho converted and trippled Liverpool lead.
Chelsea returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory against Tottenham whose horrible run at Stamford Bridge went on. It was a fantastic opening ten minutes to the second-half with a Hakim Ziyech scorcher and a Thiago Silva header handing the Blues the three points.
