The Premier league match between Tottenham Hotspur at St James' Park was on Sunday 13th October paused after a fan collapsed in the crowd,in the 40th minute the match was stopped when players called for the medics to assist a supporter in the crowd.Sergio Reguilon and Eric Dier,made the match officials aware of the incident in the crowd.Reguilon urged the referee to pause the play, while his teammate Eric Dier ran to the Newcastle dag-out calling for a defiribrillator.The medics handled the emergency and the fan was stabilised and taken to the hospital.Tottenham Hotspur were leading 2-1 in the 41st minute when the referee halted the match after the players had brought the medical emergency in the crowd to his attention.After the incident,the players were taken off the playing area.The match wa was, however, restarted and seven minutes of playing time added.The match ended 3-2 in favor of Tottenham Hotspur.
