Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance has planned a final mega rally at Nairobi's Nyayo Stadium on 6th August 2022, and so has the Kenya Kwanza team whose booking for the venue had been councelled by Sports Kenya.

However, there seems to be brewing battle as Kenya Kwanza team has insisted on using the stadium as they had innitially plnanned. According to UDA secretary general Veronica Maina, the Kenya Kwanza Alliance shall use the stadium for their final rally before elections, just as innitially planned.

According to reports by The Star, Maina while adressing UDA supporters in Murang'a said they had a valid contract with Sports Kenya use of the venue on August sixth, and therefore they shall go ahead with the rally which she said they had planned and paid for. She added that the DP Ruto-led coalition was not in agreement with the cancellation of that venue.

She urged the Sports Kenya to stop being partisan and do the right thing and allow them to use Nyayo Stadium which she insisted was a public resource usable by all Kenyans who paid in good time.

Sports Kenya cancelled the Kenya Kwanza Alliance's permit to use the venue on July 21, saying that the stadium shall not be available for their scheduled rally on August 6 as it had been booked for peace meeting running from 5th to 6th August 2022, alongside Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.

Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga has announced that his final rally shall be held at the Nyayo Stadium on 6th August.
