Sporting families in the country is no longer news to netizens. This has been made common through various sporting activities having siblings playing the same sport or variety. You can see the rugby brothers Collins Injera and Humprey Kayange then the Wanyama brothers in football. But since today it is about football. Ill focus on the Masika's.
This is a family who love football, they have one Ayub Timbe Masika, who has played at Belgium China, England and now at Japan. He moved to Japan recently when he joined Japanese side Visel Kobe. This is after his contract with Chinese club expired.
His younger brother Musa Masika has been on the news for the past 2 to 3 years. He turned into a professional player and he plays for Kenyan premier league side Wazito FC. He helped the team gain promotion to the top flight from National Super League in 2019.
Musa is 20 while Ayub is 28. The two are great friends and a recent post on Instagram isba testament to that. The two can be seen training together in what looks like a good training ground. Remember both players plie their trade in different leagues. Musa the younger one posted with the captions 'everyday is a fresh start' and 'never measure your progress using someone else's rule'.
Ayub then reposted it while tagging Musa. Musa had trials with Teams in Sweden and Belgium when he was young but had to comeback to Kenya to continue with his studies. That is what maybe derailed his ambition to play in Europe. I will do a whole post explaining what really happened to football journey, in my next post.
