Chelsea visited the king power stadium yesterday's night and the host took them by a surprise in the opening minutes, however the blues were able to settle the deficit in the first half. The blues are now remaining with one game before the season ends, and Sunday evening they will be having thier final match of the season.
Despite sharing the spoil with the foxes, Chelsea had something positive to take home. This season, the blues have been hit by a series of misfortunes and they have somehow managed to deal with them. Injuries have been major issues and it has costed the European champion in the title race and contention for major trophies.
Speaking in post match interview, Chelsea boss have attested this and is even surprise that his team is still in top three despite playing most of the matches without thier talisman.
Tuchel: “ it maybe a miracle that we are on the third place. We have played most of the matches without our Kante. He is our key player, but Ngolo has only played 40 percent of the games. Kante is our Mo Salah, he is our Van Dijk, he is our De Bruyne, he is our Neymar, he is our Mbappé. Key players need to be on the pitch almost on a regular basis.
You see the difference when Kante is playing and we need him to be on the pitch regularly. The previous season we saw Liverpool struggled heavily without Van Dijk. Given that percentage he has played, it maybe a miracle how consistently we produced good results, and this puts everything into perspective”.
