Kipchoge Takes Home 6.8M For Breaking World Record and Other Bonuses After Winning Berlin Marathon

Two times World Olympic Champion, Eliud Kipchoge has today, September 25 set a new record at 2: 01: 09 all the way to World to winning the Berlin Marathon for the fourth time. Eliud Kipchoge was only 30 secs awau from his previous world record of 2:01:39.


Following the huge run Eliud Kipchoge while reaps big as he receives Ksh 3 mIllion for winning the race. Additionally, he will receive about 6.8M for breaking own world record. The 37 Years legendary marathon runner will also take home time bonus of Ksh 4.1M.

Eliud Kipchoge is also the only Marathon runner to ever run a marathon race in less than 2 hours. Mark Korir Came second in Berlin Marathon.


Kipchoge's win has brought about joy to Kenyans with President William Ruto leading in congratulating Eliud Kipchoge. Through his twitter publication, the President termed to the Berlin Marathon winner as legend.
