Karim Benzema's Absence from final: Can France Still Win the World Cup?

The French coach Didier deschamps has made it clear that Benzema will not be part of the squad for the final. "Karim is not in the squad. We will go with the 24 players who are here. It's not the time to discuss Karim," Deschamps said.

Benzema has been a crucial part of the French squad over the years, helping the side to lift their only World Cup title in 2018. Hailing from Lyon, the 33-year-old has scored 32 goals in 81 appearances for France, making him the sixth highest scorer for the team. Despite his absence, France have had a good run in the tournament, reaching the final for the third time in the last five editions.

The French side will be looking to defend their title this Sunday when they face long-time rivals Argentina. While Benzema won’t be part of the squad, the team will be looking to make use of his experience in the build-up to the match.

The absence of Benzema will undoubtedly have an impact on the French team, but the side is confident that they can still get the job done without him. With the best players in the world, the French side have all the tools to bring the trophy home at the end of the tournament.
