Gor Mahia Re-Signs Harun Shakava And Burkina Faso International Abdul

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has confirmed that the club has re-signed former captain Harun Shakava on a two-year deal.

The player was dropped by his Zambian club Nkana Red Devils. Chairman Rachier has clarified that the deal with Gor Mahia is done and the player will land in Nairobi soon. He added that he will be elligible to play continental matches if Gor Mahia advances to the CAF Confederations Cup group stage.

Shakava is the third player to be signed by Gor Mahia including Brazilian Wilson Silva Fonseca and Burkina Faso midfielder Abdul.

Defender Shakava had left Gor Mahia in 2019 and played for Nkana for a season with the side announcing the unconditional release of Shakava making him a free agent.

Shakava joins a number of Kenyan player who have left Nkana Red Devils. Former Gor Mahia player Musa Mohamed and Duncan Otieno had left Nkana for Lusaka Dynamos.

Gor Mahia is currently on form with the match against Zambian side Napsa Stars nearing - February 14 in Nairobi. Gor Mahia hopes to advance to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup with the second leg scheduled for 21st February in Zambia.
