La Liga

5 Brothers in Football And Place They Play

1. Eden and Thorgan Hazard

The Hazard name is very famous in world football. Most of this fame is associated with Belgium’s National Team Captain, Eden Hazard. Most people are not aware of the fact that there is another of him who also plays football.

Thorgan Hazard plays for the German club Borussia Dortmund. In contrast, his elder brother, Eden, plays for Spanish giants, Real Madrid, after some successful years at Chelsea Football club.

2. Rafinha and Thiago Alcantara

Both Thiago and Rafinha started their professional careers at FC Barcelona, however the pair have gone down distinctly different routes since.

After five seasons at the Camp Nou, most of which were spent warming the bench, Thiago left for Bayern Munich in 2013, where he has since established himself as one of the world's best midfielders.

3. Kolo Toure and Yaya Toure

Previously a group of three, the Toure Brothers had recently lost their youngest, Ibrahim Toure following a battle with cancer. Yaya, who has 82 caps with the Ivory Coast national team, has won the La Liga twice and a Champions League with Barcelona, and two Premier League titles with his current team Manchester City. Kolo, on the other hand, was a part of the Arsenal team that had won the Premier League title in the 2003/04 season, and another one with Manchester City in the 2011/12 season, currently plays for Liverpool.

4. Jordan and Andre Ayew (Abedi Pele is their dad)

The Ayews are quite a footballing family. Their family tree could probably cobble together an entire team. Former Ghana captain Abedi Pele is the father of both forwards.

Jordan and Andre played together at Marseille for several years and reunited at Swansea before going their separate ways. The former now at Crystal Palace and the latter still at the Liberty Stadium.

5. Reece James and Lauren James.

The siblings were nurtured by their father, Nigel, who set up a training programme after a car accident halted his own football dreams. Lauren James is the Chelsea fullback’s younger sister, but there is nothing young about her talent as she plays for the Manchester United women’s team. Reece James’ father, Nigel, must be a proud man.
