Eden Hazard
For the past couple of weeks now, Arsenal representatives have been spotted having talks with Eden Hazard's agent in Madrid and that clearly shows that the North Londoners are hell-bent in securing the Belgian in the summer. Nothing significant has borne out of the talks but progress has definitely been made with regards to convincing the 31 year old to return back to England. However, his on and off injuries have been a major concern for fans who have warned Arsenal against signing such a player who instead of being an asset, will be a liability to the club.
One such fan said, "There is no doubt that Hazard is a talented player but his injuries are just too frequent. We can't afford to have such a player at the club. Having Partey and Tierney injured is just too much for us. If we sign Hazard and get our hopes up with him, I am sure we will inevitably regret having him once the medical team announces that he will be out for a whole season."
Mikel Arteta
Mikel Arteta suffered his third straight defeat against Southampton after a poor defensive miscalculation resulted in a Jan Bednarek goal late in the first half. Arsenal pushed very hard in the second half, to the extent that both full backs, Cedric and Tavares were substituted off for more attacking options, Emile Smith Rowe and Nicolas Pepe but all their efforts for atleast an equalizer were in vain. Arteta once again, like in the past two previous matches said that Arsenal were punished for not taking their earlier chances.
"We played well in both halves but we were unlucky not to score. We created so many chances against Soton but nothing came out of it. We were truly punished for not being clinical."
Nicolas Pepe
Fans are now calling on Mikel Arteta to rest Saka and give Nicolas Pepe a chance in the starting eleven because the Ivorian has shown a lot of promise in recent matches. They believe that if Pepe gets a chance to start against Chelsea in the midweek, something positive will come out of the match.
