Kenyan side FC Leopards terminated their sponsorship deal with betting side spotika after claims that the betting firm did not meet their agreed conditions. According to sports journalist Kevin Teya, Leopards have signed a new mouthwatering sponsorship deal with Betika worth 65 million Kenyan shillings. The club is set to receive 55 million shillings in cash while 5 million is set to go to the medical insurance. The other 5 million will go to the kits.It is a good news to the historic club as they look to start their new season on a high.Betika is one of the largest betting firms in the country and if they can sponsor teams in the league, then Kenyan football could improve.
The league is currently below the standards of other leagues due to lack of sponsorship deals.
On the other hand,Fortune Sacco will face off against Wazito FC in a bid to get promotion to the Kenya premier league after the court ruled against them.Wazito will also be looking to remain in the league after a poor season. We wish them all the best ahead.
