Faith Kipyegon won her race in the Monaco diamond league in 1500 metres clocking 3.50.37 minutes. The Kenyan made history as the second fastest woman in 1500 metres missing out on a very close margin. The fastest woman is Genzebe Dibaba who clocked 3.50.03 minutes. Faith Kipyegon has entered the books of history as the second fastest woman in the race.

However, apart from the gold medal, the Kenyan will take home a mouthwatering amount of money for winning. She has had a fabulous season so far taking home two gold medals in respective competitions. Her first gold medal came in the world championship while her second came from the Monaco diamond league. According to the reports, winning a gold medal in the diamond league enables you to take home 40,000 USD which is about 4.6 million Kenyan shillings. It is an amazing amount of money considering the fact that Faith has been bagging back to back awards this season.

Congratulations to her for winning the margin.
