Sprinter Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala, has caused an uproar after his revelation today that his girlfriend Laventa used to pay him bills while he was broke.
Speaking during his appreciation ceremony by his main sponsor Odibet betting company, Omanyala opened up that his life was not easy when he began his journey in athletics.
He used to stay at Huruma Estate in Nairobi, while schooling at The University of Nairobi and his girlfriend Laventa was the one taking care of him, by paying him rent and other bills before he got sponsorship from Odibet. He has therefore promised to take care of her for the rest of her life by giving her everything she needs.
This revelation has touched several Kenyans and it has elicited mixed reactions on Twitter, where many of them have lauded the girlfriend for standing with him up to where he is now. Some even coveted her so much wishing to also get a genuine girlfriend like her asking him to keep his promise to her.
