The gunners had recorded an impressive run of 7 league games without defeat, but unfortunately were undone by a rejuvenated Wolves in the midweek. The gunners however dominated proceedings until the 45th minute when their central defender Luiz conceded a penalty and was shown a direct red card. Wolves took advantage and eventually won the game 2-1 at their home turf.
Mikel Arteta's main objective is to establish arsenal as one of the "big dogs" in English football. His main goal this season is to ensure Arsenal return to Europe next season.
The gunners are currently 10th in the league with 31 points, only 9 points below 4th placed Liverpool. Arsenal will lock horns with an incosistent Aston villa today at Villa park.
