The race for top four finish in English Premier League has been fierce this season. Top two positions were secured by Manchester teams.
Manchester City were crowned winners for the league last week while Manchester United with 71 points are patched at the second place with no possiblity of relinquishing it.
The match between Chelsea and Leicester came days after Leicester had beaten Chelsea in the FA Cup finals. Tuesday night was the day Chelsea took the opportunity to revenge.
Their intentions to win the match were clearly shown as it was Chelsea who scored the first two goals and Leicester pulled one back at the dying minutes if the game. The match ended 2-1 in favour of Chelsea.
This result meant that Chelsea need to win their last game of the season to be sure to finish in the top four while Leicester have to win their last match so that not to be lipfroged by Liverpool who have a game in hand with 63 points.
For a chance to play in the Champions League, Liverpool will hope that the two teams will drop points while they (Liverpool) collect the maximum six points in their remaining two matches.
Four teams from EPL will be participating in the coveted UEFA Champions League next season wihile the fifth team will earn an automatic spot in Europa League.
