Chelsea were dominant in the first few minutes but it was after 24 minutes when the Blues went ahead by Joginho through a confidently dispatched spot to hand them a deserved lead. Chelsea were unlucky to add on a second goal in the game. They allowed the home team back in the game but Chelsea had to soak the pressure to endure that they win the second game under the stewardship of Thomas Tuchel. Chelsea held on to win one nil.
Mendy being in goal post, he impressed. In the first half he was not troubled since spurs had only one shot on target. In the second half, he was put to task by Lamella who terrorised him with a strike, he was was to parry it away to make sure that he registers a tenth EPL clean sheet on a debut year.
He is second in the table with 10 clean sheets- Joint second with Emoliano Martinez of Aston Villa.
Ederson of Manchester city tops the chart with 13 clean sheets so far.
