Major Marathons, Kip Keino Classic And Other Athletics Dates To Look Forward To In 2021

As if the Tokyo Olympics, World Under 20 Championships held in Nairobi and Diamond League finals in Zurich weren't enough, there are still other major athletics events to look forward to before the end of the year 2021. There are still more major marathons to be hosted in different parts of the world and all the marathon runners are getting ready to bring their A game in the events. Here are marathon and athletics dates to mark:

1. KIP KEINO CLASSIC

The track and field 2021 meeting will be held in Nairobi on Saturday the18th of September 2021. This means that the meeting is only a few days to go from today. Kenyan athletes like double Olympic Champion Faith Kipyegon, World U-20 champion Serem, Purity Chepkirui have confirmed their entries. Beatrice Masilingi and Christine Mboma of Namibia will also be in town for the Kip Keino meet.

2. MARATHONS

BERLIN MARATHON

The Berlin Marathon will take place on Sunday 26th of September 2021. Eliud Kipchoge, who ran the world's record in the marathon in the same course in 2018 will not be taking place in the event but Bekele of Ethiopia will be a top contender.

LONDON MARATHON

This marathon will be held on Sunday, 3rd of October 2021. Thousands of runners have registered to participate.

CHICAGO MARATHON

On Sunday, 10th October the best of the best in marathon running will be at the Chicago Marathon to try to show that their names should top the ranks of the best marathon runners in the world.

The BOSTON, PARIS and NEW YORK Marathons will be held on Monday, October 11, Sunday, October 17, and Sunday, November 7th respectively.

Mark your calendars so you don't miss any of these events and watch as Team Kenya battle to show their dominance in the middle and long distance running.
