The 2021/2022 European transfer window is set to be closed on 31sth August and a number of clubs in Europe are pushing to complete some transfers before it is closed. Arsenal are among the clubs that wants to reinforce their squad following where they finished last season.
A lot of speculations are surrounding their Spanish right back Hector Bellerin regarding a move out of the emirates. This means that the Gunners will only remain with the Portuguese utility player Cedric Soares as a natural right back. Since the Gunners' Hale End graduate Ainsley Maitland Niles is apparently forcing his move out of the Emirates stadium, that leaves Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta with only Cedric and Chambers who has been deployed to play as a right back as the only option.
According to the Athletic UK sports journalist, David Ornstein, the Gunners are holding talks with Bologna over the signing of their 22 year old Japanese right back Takehiro Tomiyasu. Tomiyasu will seemingly replace the want away Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland Niles.
Arsenal are equally linked with former Tottenham Hotspurs right back Kieran Trippier as a possible alternative in that position. It is looking likely that a lot of deals will be completed before the transfer deadline day.
