Chelsea were bullied at Stamford Bridge by Manager Sam Allardyce lead Westbromwich Albion, whom demolished a strong Chelsea squad 5-2 at fulltime. Chelsea misfortunes started when defender Thiago Silva was shown a second yellow card which amounted to a red card & the veteran Brazillian defender was sent off to reduce the hosts to 10 Men. Chelsea had already scored the opener 2 minutes before Thiago sent off through Pulisic but Westbrom Capitilized on their numerical advantage to score 2 quick goals through their topscorer Perreira in the stoppage time to force a 2-1 lead for the visitors at the break. Chelsea were fully fatigued in second half as they scored once through Mason Mount but conceded 3 times through Robinson (2 goals) & Diagne to register their first defeat under Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues might drop to position 6 in the Premier League table with 51 points if Westham & Tottenham win their respective fixtures. Chelsea fans blasted the Referee for bad officiating but they did not factor in the weak performance displayed by Chelsea lads. Westbrom dominated the ball possession, counter attacks & shots on target as Chelsea players proved how flopping & unfocused they are this season. Chelsea is likely to lose to Porto on Wednesday in UEFA Champions League first leg & FA Cup semifinal tie against Manchester City at the end of April. Thiago Silva proved how frustrated he is as a Chelsea player & his age is betraying him as the blues consider awarding him another contract at Stamford Bridge this summer.
