Anzu Fati Commits his future at Camp Nou

Anzu Fati, the Barcelona forward, has agreed to a long-term contract with the Catalans. He had been linked with a move away from the club that is in a financial crisis. In addition, the club lost its most valuable and best player of all time, Lionel Messi, to PSG.

Speaking on ESPN, the teenager said “It is an honor to wear the number 10 jersey previously worn by Leo. I admit that no one will replace Leo and captains like Puyol, Hernandez, Iniesta, and others. As for me, I will commit myself to this club as I know the contribution I intend to offer. Therefore, the jersey does not pile pressure on me; instead, it is motivational.

The young star has made forty-seven appearances and scored fifteen goals, and he is the second-youngest player to have made a debut at the age of sixteen and two hundred and ninety-eight days. In addition, he holds a record as the youngest player to score and assist in La Liga. He is also the club's youngest player to feature in a champion’s league match.
