Kenyans have been left in a state of mourning after losing one of the superstars in the area of athletes. Tokyo 2020 Olympic participant and 2019 Doha Qatar medalist, Agnes Tirop was today found dead in her home.
Tirop had been participating in the 5000 Metres race and has been performing exceptionally in her athletic career. Her death has greatly robbed the country and the Olympic family a stellar athlete and a global brand.
While Speaking to the press, Athletic Kenya boss, Mr Paul Tergat sent the condolences on behalf of the National Athletic Committee of Kenya and entire Olympic fraternity as he urged the security authorities and the law to unearth the cause of her death. He also appealed for enhanced protection of the sportsmen and women.
