Gor Mahia v Al Ahly Merowe match cancelled

According to the announcement today in the morning, Gor Mahia had been scheduled to host the second leg against their revivals Al Ahly Merowe of Sudan. During an press conference earlier today, FKF President Nick Mwendwa said that the match had to be canceled.

The football body had to reach towards that decision after the Sudan side Al Ahly did not in the in country ahead of the match today. During the first leg, the former FKF premier league Champions Gor Mahia came from 1-0 behind to win 3-1 against Al Ahly Merowe of Sudan last week.

According to Fifa, Gor Mahia will be awarded three points for the game due to their revivals failure to show up. According Gor Mahia chairman Ambross Rachier, the club bad greater plan and achievements for the match. Rachier also admitted that after the Derby win against Afc Leopards, the team has been training successfully ahead of the second leg at Nyayo Stadium today.
