Olunga Raises Kenyan Flag High At King Abdullah Sports City in AFC Champions League

Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga plays abroad for Qatar League champions Al-Duhail SC. He has been instrumental ever since he joined the club from the Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol.

Yesterday evening Olunga's side drew with Al Ahli by 1-1 in their last match in Group C. The match was held on the auxiliary stadium in King Abdullah Sports City. Both sides fought hard in the first half and ended in a goalless draw.

In the second half, Michael Olunga put Al Duhail SC ahead in the 62nd minutes after he rose high in the presence of three defenders and released a thunderous header past the keeper. Al Ahli equalised after ten minutes through their sensational forward Haytham Asery.

Earlier in the same group, Esteghelal of Iran had thrashed Al Shorta of Iraq by one goal to nil and led the group by 11 points. Al Duhail SC follows in position two with nine points.

What is your opinion on Olunga's exploits in the Asian Champions League?
