The Spanish side Real Madrid, has been having a hard time to get the right replacement for the team penalty kick taker and team Captain after Sergio Ramos who was the team Captain, as well as the penalty kick taker left the club due misunderstanding over the contract extension.
Sergio Ramos had more goals compared to any defender in La Liga, due to the penalty taking for the team. The team management and players have come to a decision, to choose another Captain and penalty taker for the team before the start of the season. The team decided to pick Karim Benzema, to lead Real Madrid in penalty taking after the player showed a great impact in the team. Benzema lead the team to Champions League Semifinals scoring against Chelsea.
The 33 years old French professional footballer has scored 33 goals for Real Madrid last season, and assisted 9 which makes him a great player. Benzema will now take the place of Sergio Ramos to lead Real Madrid next season.
