Bruno Fernandes Sets Record After Scoring Late Winning Goal

Will History Repeat Itself?

Manchester United verses Brighton was such a thrilling match that will not be forgotten in a hurry. That is surely seen as one of the craziest games of football, especially when Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty which was awarded by VAR after the final whistle had been blown.

Manchester United were lucky enough to register their first Premier League points in 2020/2021 season with a thrilling 3-2 win against their hosts.

In the match, the Seagulls hit the woodwork five times and thought they had earned a deserved point when Solly March netted the ball to equalise in the 95th minute.

It was quite unfortunate for them when Neal Maupay’s handball was penalised by referee Chris Kavanagh even after he had blown for full-time. Bruno Fernandes beautifully converted from the spot in the 100th minute thus giving them the "deserved" lead.

Apparently, Bruno has never missed a top-flight penalty as he always stays cool under the pressure to ensure they escaped with three points.

One fan went ahead to post something funny on social media:

Something of the sort has never been witnessed. A repeat of the same will not surprise us anymore.
