The team was expected to fly to Kenya on a military plane later on this afternoon but the South Sudan Football Association has cancelled the travel.
CAF was also to give a go ahead on if they will allow 10,000 fans into the City Stadium for their game against the South Sudan side.
This will not have to happen now as CAF received communication from the South Sudan FA that Al Ahly will not be progressing with the competition.
This means that Gor Mahia Advance to the second preliminary round of the competition as their opponents will be named later on.
Kenyan side Tusker FC was knocked out of the competition after losing their opening home and away matches.
