London Colney was today graced with a lot of talent from Hale End Academy players who were training with first team squad. Several youngsters showcased their talent in a bid to earn the trust of the manager and atleast be given a debut in the upcoming matches.
One starlet who stood out was Cirjan Catalin who showed maturity in the way he controls and read the game. The Romanian player is dubbed the next David Silva because of his style of play and physicality.
Since signing his professional contract in December 2019, Catalin has showed great improvement in his game for the U-23 side. He has featured 11 times for the youth side and has scored a goal and assisted another.
His talent made U-23s manager Steve Bould hail him and evn use him for the side despite being five years younger.
The midfield maestro may however not be able to make a debut this season since Arsenal have been knocked out of several cup competitions like Carling Cup and FA Cup. There is a little chance that he may feature in the last game against Brighton on May 23 and this will only happen if it will be a dead rubber match.
