The FIFA World Cup has entered the knockout stages and this will be a difficult test for all the teams involved. Today the round of 16 fixtures begin with some exciting matches. The first match of the day is Netherlands who play USA and Argentina play Australia in the last match of the day.
Today we have already seen the first team to be eliminated from the knockout stages. The USA were the first to head home in the round of 16 after they lost 3-1 in the hands of Netherlands. US beat Iran 1-0 to qualify for the knockout rounds while Netherlands beat Qatar 2-0 to qualify. Now they will be advancing to the next round after their victory.
Memphis Depy scored the first goal for Netherlands in the 10th minute before Blind added his name to the scoresheet to give Netherlands a two goal led at half time. Wright scored a goal for the US, before Dumfries added a third for Netherlands.
