Breaking: Man United Reach Agreement With New Manager

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Ralf Rangnick to become interim manager. A 6-months contract then a two year consultancy deal has been agreed. However, the deal is subject to Lokomotiv Moscow's approval, claims the Athletic UK.

Due to work permit reasons the 63-year-old would not be in charge of Manchester United against Chelsea this weekend.

He flew into Manchester at the start of the week. Having rejected the club's initial contract he finally accepted the new terms.

It's understood that Raid Rangnick regards the opportunity to take over at United as too big an opportunity to turn down. He previously rebuffed Chelsea when they were preparing to sack Frank Lampard.

The Red Devils have been linked with the potential appointments of Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane and Eric ten Haag. However pricing Pochettino and Ten Haag away from their clubs is very difficult at the moment, and Zidane turned down the opportunity because he's not a fan of joining clubs mid season, language barrier and his wife was not willing to leave in Manchester.
