Newcastle sacked their manager Steve Bruce date 20 October due to run off poor results within the club.Bruce was going to be dismissed prior to Newcastle's home match against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, which they lost 3-2, but now his exit has been confirmed.

Eddie now is expected to take charge at St James' Park on a two-and-a-half year and Newcastle will have to announce his appointment day before the end of this week.
