As we all know the January transfer window was opened on January 1st 2023 for clubs in England, Scotland, Germany and France while Spain and Italy started their trading on Monday 2nd January 2023. The window will all close on 31st January 2023 at 23:00 GMT.
Here is a detailed information of all the latest transfers as per January 15th 2023.
1) Wout Weghorst - Manchester United
Manchester United have completed the deal for signing Wout Weghorst From Burnley on loan until June 2023. The Dutch striker was on loan at Besikats where he relatively performed well by scoring 9 goals, 4 assits in the 18 appearances .
Weghorst in the latest interview said ," I feel privileged to be joining Manchester United. I've played against the club in the past and it's a fantastic feeling to now have the chance to pull on the red shirt."See the attached photo of Wout Weghorst in Fabrizio Romano's tweet below.
2) Mario Lamina - Wolves
Wolverhampton have completed their second signing of Mario Lamina . The 29 year old Gabon International midfielder has previously played for Lorient , Marseille , Juventus ,Nice ,Southampton, Fulham and has also appeared in the Uefa champions league finals. He's on a 12 Month contract at Wolverhampton
3) Joao Felix - Chelsea
The 23 year old Portuguese striker has moved to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid on Loan. The young star played for his national team in the recent Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup and he scored a vital goal in their match opening against Ghana . When Joao joined Chelsea he said ," Chelsea is one of the greatest teams in the world and am ready to help the team reach their objectives. So am very very happy and very excited to be here at Stamford Bridge."
4) Cordy Gakpo - Liverpool
The 23 year old has been signed by Liverpool from PSV. Cordy helped his national team Netherlands to reach the quarter final stage by scoring 3 goals in five appearances. In his latest interview he said ,"I’m really looking forward to [playing at Anfield]. I heard a lot of great stories about the stadium, about the atmosphere. I cannot wait.
“Obviously [my aim is] to win as many prizes as we can as a team, to perform well, to show the world what we can do as a team and what I can do as a player. And personally, just to keep developing and become a better player every season.
“I’m really thankful that everybody is giving me such a warm welcome and I’m really looking forward to seeing everybody in the stadium and around the city.”
Cordy will be wearing Jersey 18 at Liverpool
5) David Fofana - Chelsea
The 20 year old Ivorian has been signed by Chelsea from Molde . His contract extends upto 2029 with an option to extend for another year . He is a young prolific goalscorer having scored 34 goals in 55 appearances at Molde . In his latest interview Fofana said ,"Hello dear fans, I’m here, I’ve arrived well and I’m very happy to sign for the club of my dreams. I’ll see you soon on the pitch, cheers!’
Other players signed by Chelsea include ; Andrey Santos (Vasco Da Gama) ,Benoit Badialishe ( Monaco). For Aston villa there is Aaron Ramsey ( on loan) , Alex Moreno ( Real Betis ) and Tyreik Wright( Loan recall). For Wolverhampton there's Matheus Cunha (Atletico Madrid) ,Louie Moulden (loan recall) ,Christian Marques (loan recall) and Lewis Richards (loan recall) .
Daley Blind has moved from Ajax to Bayern Munich. He will be wearing Jersey number 23 . In his first interview he said ," I can hardly wait to play here. We've got the most important part of the season coming up , where its about titles and a club like Bayern can win every trophy. The hunger for titles here at the club was key in my decision.
