Ben White is set to undergo his Gunners medical today ahead of a £50m switch from Brighton, according to a report.
Gunners are exploring a deal to sign Ben White this summer and they have a variety of shirt numbers they could offer the Brighton star.
The most obvious number for White would be the No 5 jersey.
White wore the No 5 during his time at Leeds and it is the most sensible option for a defender that is currently available at Arsenal after Sokratisa pastathopoulos's departure in January led to the shirt being vacated.
Bellerin currently wears the No 2 but he is heavily linked with a move away from the club. This means It would likely be reserved for a new right-back, with Arsenal in the market for a player of that kind.
Because White has worn the number 2 before during his days in the Brighton under-23 side, it could potentially be an option for him.
Number 23 & 26
The 23 and 26 shirts are available before it gets above 30, but more may become free once Arteta sells some players this summer.
It appears the No 5 would be the best bet after Arsenal got a deal over the line for White this summer.
