Arsenal have lost their final friendly match ahead of the league return as they are beaten 2:0 by Juventus at home. The gunners lined up a strong starting line up consisting of the players that had returned from the World cup. Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, Martin Odegaard were some of the starter's. There was a mix as well of the young and fringe players. Reiss Nelson started alongside Eddie Nketiah and Fabio Vieira.
Nelson suffered an early setback and was replaced by youngster Marquinhos. The gunners would however concede before the break via a Granit Xhaka own goal. Second half saw a couple of changes as Mohammed Elneny came on for Thomas Partey, academy player Dubery came on for Xhaka while Nwaneri came on for Marquinhos. There were a few bright players such as Kieran Tierney who did well. Juventus got another goal at the death to make it 2:0. This is a good match for preparation and we can only wait to see what happens when Arsenal meet Westham.
