Arsenal will be sweating on the fitness of Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus who has picked up a knee injury with the national team. This means he is also out of the world cup competition. Jesus played yesternight against Cameroon and gave a performance that did not however meet expectations. He seemed to be struggling and maybe this might be the reason.
Jesus has played second fiddle to Tottenham man Richarlison who scored two goals in their opener match. Jesus only came on as a substitute in the two opener matches. In the Cameroon match he was brought off in the opening minutes of the second half. Brazil however went on to lose the match via Vincent Aboubakar's strike late in the match.
The extent of Jesus's injury is not known yet and this poses a worry to Arsenal in their title chase. Gabriel has been massive on and off the pitch.
