Manchester United's Likely Lineup for Rangnick's First Game in Charge

Manchester United are set to face Crystal palace on Sunday 5th December 2021, in what could be new interim manager Ralf Rangnick's first game in charge.With only Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba the absentees he is expected to have a full squad to choose from.

Rangnick is likely to implement a lineup with 4-3-1-2 formation at United similar to the 4-2-2-2 he utilised during his time at RB Leipzig.This means he could use a strike partnership if either Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo or Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo in this match.

Let's take a look at the likely lineup to start this match;

David Degea

The spanish goalkeeper is expected to keep his place in this match after returning to form this term.

Alex Telles, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan Bissaka

With Varane still out injured we could see the same defense that played their last match with only Wan Bissaka back for Dallot.

Van De Beek, Mctominay, Fred and Bruno Fernandez

With Pogba still ruled out through injury and Matic not match fit we could see Van De Beek, Mctominay and Fred feature in midfield with Bruno playing the number 10 role just in front of them to help in attack.

Ronaldo, Sancho

With Sancho starting to show a signs of his Dortmund days, he could be chosen ahead of Rashford to partner Ronaldo upfront.
