Chelsea's Premier League hopes suffered a huge blow after they were hammered by Brighton & Hove Albion
The London Blues found themselves three goals behind after the first 45 minutes, with two own-goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah.
High-firing Leandro Trossard put the host ahead after 5 minutes of the first half before the Chelsea players made it worse by conceding two own goals.
Chelsea revived their hopes in the second half with an early goal from Kai Havertz, but Brighton held on to their two-goal lead past the 90th-minute mark before right-back Pascal Gross made it 4-1 to give Brighton a comfortable win and a horrible return for coach Graham Potter who joined Chelsea a few weeks ago.
In other matches, Newcastle United maintained their perfect form by putting four goals past Aston Villa in another entertaining football match. The match ended 4-0
Tottenham completed a memorable comeback for Antonio Conte by fighting from a 2-0 goal down to win the match at 3-2 against AFC Bournemouth.
