Shujaa, who had early defeated their neighbors, Uganda sevens to 27-14 in their opening campaign of the commonwealth games, has once again proven to be the best. In this second match, Pool D Shujaa contested against Jamaica 7s, who lost their opener match 62-0 in the hands of Australia.

Kenya 7s qualified for this tournament since their participation in the World 7s Series; on the other hand, Jamaica qualified after defeating Bermuda in the semi-finals of the Rugby America N7s Championship competition. Shujaa, who encountered a tough moment in their previous World Series campaign, finally made it through to the quarter after thrashing Jamaica 7s to 45-0 triumphant victory. Kenya 7s, who led at halftime 24-0, continued with the counterattack until the final whistle blow.

Kenya7s will return to the action tomorrow at 12.50 P.M to face Australia in the last pool match. Every two teams that finish at the top of the group stage are promoted to the quarter-final Play Offs, whereas the last two teams usually compete to finish in the 9th-16thplaces. 16 teams are participating in these Commonwealth Games 7s, which are being held in the United Kingdom (UK).
