Good afternoon and welcome to my daily sports updates.Tap on the follow link on the top right corner if you haven't done so to receive more news.Welcome.
Kenyan club FC Leopards will be celebrating it's 58th birthday today after being in existence since football begun in Kenya.Being one of the oldest Kenyan club ,FC Leopards started as Abaluhya football club before changing to Leopards alias Ingwe.Leopards have achieved some big achievements in the Kenya premier league being the second club behind Gor Mahia FC to have won many league titles in the country.
Marking their 58th birthday, Ingwe will be looking to atleast collect some funds as they are 👋 under a financial crisis. Last week,it was reported that the players had gone on strike due to lack of payments for their two months' salary.Such clubs need to have seasonal sponsors who can help them run their day to day activities.
They are the backbones of Kenyan football. Their struggle means the national team struggles too.We wish them a happy birthday too.
