Arsenal has been known for developing talents in the previous years. Bukayo Saka, Smith Rowe among others are products from Hales Gate. Arteta is desperate on forming a strong defence and another signing is edging after Nuno Tavares.
Recently, the club confirmed a goal stopper from the academy. Another signing from the ranking is Nigerian-eligible youngster, Mazeed Ogungbo who has extended is stay at Emirates. It has been hinted that the defender has agreed a deal to sign his first professional career with the club, this news was first broken by the youth team expert Jeorge Bird.
Ogungbo with the ability to play as both a centre back as well as a left back has been involved in 37 matches for the U18 Premier League team.
This is the second signing from the academy for arsenal this summer. Announcement is yet to be scheduled before venturing into the seniour squad.
The Ireland international will be a third choice at the perking order for the left backs after the club confirmed the arrival of Nuno Tavares from Benfica.
