Arsenal Are Making A Last-Minute Move For A La Liga Enterprising Striker

Arsenal came into this transfer window hoping to sign a reliable striker who would allow them to finally outscore their opponents, something they have struggled to do so far this season.

In recent weeks, the Gunners have prioritized signing Serie A's in-form striker, Dusan Vlahovic, but Vlahovic has been uninterested in making the Arsenal switch, and he is now set to join Juventus.

As a result, Arsenal are in a race against time to find other capable options to lead their attack.

According to Spanish media reports, Arsenal is now interested in signing Espanyol striker Raul de Tomas.

Arteta is reportedly impressed with his fellow countryman and has a deal in the works for him in the coming days, owing to his good goal-scoring form in La Liga

Unlike Vlahovic, de Tomas is unlikely to reject a move to the Premier League, but Arsenal may be forced to activate his 70 million euro release clause in order for the deal to go through.

You may be wondering if de Tomas is better than Vlahovic at this point. According to statistics, he is not, but the fact that Vlahovic snubbed Arsenal indicates that the club must move on from him. With 12 goals in 21 La Liga games, de Tomas appears to be a capable striker on whom Arteta can rely this season in his pursuit of a top-four finish.
