The English Premier League 2021/22 is now over. 380 total matches have been played, each team playing their 38 games. It has been one of the most interesting season that winners have been determined in the last matches. 1071 total goals have been scored. The race to the golden boot has also been an interesting one and the winners have been determined in the last day.
Below is the top scorer list.
Son Heung-min has been the first Asian player to win the Premier League's Golden Boot after ending the season with 23 goals. The South Korea captain Son scored twice in Tottenham's 5-0 win at Norwich on the final day to end the season level with Mo Salah, who netted once in Liverpool's 3-1 victor over Wolves.
Son and Salah are therefore both considered as winners and each receive a trophy. Remarkably, none of Son's 23 goals were from penalty kicks, while five of Salah's were. Son has therefore done more than the Pharaoh.
In the assist race, Mohammed Salah has won the playmaking award. He has assisted 13 goals. He has therefore won the golden boot and playmaking award. The second position has been Trent Alexander Arnold with 12. Andy Robertson is third with 10. Liverpool stars have therefore led in this assist race.
The forth is Mason Mount with 10. Paul Pogba, Harvey Barnes and Jarod Bowen then follows with 9 each. Harry Kane close the best 8 with 8 assists.
Below is the assit race list.
Congratulations Mohammed Salah and Son Ming Hueng.
