Chelsea Will Miss Their Two Strikers After Double Injury Blow

Thursday 21st October 2021.

Chelsea faced a major blow after their two stars suffered injuries during their champions league clash against Malmo on Wednesday night.

Romelu Lukaku was forced off after an injury in the first half. He was fouled in the box to give a penalty for Chelsea but could not continue.

According to Tuchel the super striker suffered a knee injury and will be out for a number of matches. He will definitely miss the Saturday's clash.

Additionally Timo Wener was subbed off before half time after he suffered a similar injury during the clash.

However the seriousness of both injuries will be determined after a medical check up but Tuchel confirmed that the duo will be out for a number of matches.

This is a chance for other players to rise to the ocassion and fill the gap. Kai Haverts, Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount will do the striking now.

However there are good news that Christian Pulisic might be back this week after spending weeks out of the pitch due to injury.
