One of the long awaited transfer saga is now complete.Arsenal have been tracking the Ghanian midfielder for the better part of the transfer window. The deal was reported to have failed a few days ago much to most arsenal fans disappointment.
However recent reports suggest the Midfielder has parted ways with the Spanish capital based club and joined Arsenal. Arsenal triggered Partey release clause about an hour ago as confirmed by La liga which left Atletico Madrid with no other option but to sell.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder is in London having his medicals by the time of righting this.Thomas will sign a deal that will keep him at Emirates until 2025
Lucas torreira heads to Wanda Metropolitano on loan as part of the deal. Lucas torreira has been unhappy at Arsenal and Atletico Madrid were his preference. However according to La Liga rules were clubs can only sell before buying, Atletico Madrid were waiting to offload one of their own before making a bid for the midfielder. With Partey going the opposite side it paved room for torreira to switch to Madrid
Well done Arsenal.
