Harambee Starlets run Riot over Hapless South Sudan in 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Kenya Women Harambee Starlets played against South Sudan at the Nyayo National Stadium in the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

The hosts took an early lead as Ulinzi Stars' Neddy Akoth scored her first goal in the 2nd minute before netting in her second in the 4th minute of the match.

South Sudan's defence was in trouble as Neddy Akoth completed her hat-trick in the 39tu minute. Jentrix Shikangwa of Vihiga Queens made it 4-0, four minutes into the break.

The second half was still tough for the visitors who had been overwhelmed by the focused and well prepared Harambee Starlets.

Striker Mwanahalima Adam who recently joined Turkish side Hakkarigucu Spor scored Starlets 5th goal and her first of the match in the 56th minute. Neddy Akoth scored her fourth goal of the match in the 62nd minute before Mwanahalima completed her brace in the 65th minute.

Jentrix Shikangwa scored her second of the match making the scores 8-0 in the 72nd minute.

The second leg of the fixture will be played a week later with South Sudan settling on Nyayo National Stadium as the venue.
