European Giants Become The First Country to Qualify for FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar

The race to secure gold silverware at the World Cup 2022 is on with teams starting to qualify for the hotly contested event. Therea are a few matches remaining to be played in the qualifiers group across the world with barely a year left to the prestigious event. Qatar is the host country and therefore as usual have been accorded direct qualification.

France who are the reigning champions are yet to qualify but have shown they are capable of going there and challenging for it again. Time will tell if the never-ending curse of reigning champions being knocked out at group stage level will prevail. Spain, Germany, Italy have all fallen for this curse, being knocked out after putting masterclass performance in the previous WC events.

European giants, Germany have joined Qatar as the FIRST team to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Goals from Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Jamal Musiala in a 4-0 win against North Macedonia coupled with defeat for Armenia against Romania meant that Hansi Flick's side were through.
