Three Key Players Miss Out As Chelsea Squad Arrives In Spain For The UCL Quarter-final Second Leg

Dressed in this season's UEFA Champions League traveling tracks, Chelsea players and staff were yesterday pictured while boarding a flight to Madrid for this season's UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg match against Real Madrid.

Chelsea will look to overturn a 3-1 scoreline and qualify for the semi-finals. Karim Benzema scored a hat trick at Stamford Bridge last week to give Real Madrid a 3-1 advantage ahead of the second leg.

However, Chelsea will be without some of their key players for the match. Romelu Lukaku did not travel with the squad due to an injury.

Callum Hudson Odoi and Ross Barkley missed the trip due to injury and sickness respectively.

However, Thomas Tuchel was handed a huge boost as captain Cesar Azpilicueta, who missed their match against Southampton on Saturday due to Covid, was cleared to join the squad after he tested negative for covid.

Some of the players who traveled with the squad are; Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Antonio Rudiger, N'golo Kante, Jorginho, Reece James, and Thiago Silva.

Here is the full list of the traveling squad;

Do you think Chelsea will qualify?
